The image is cut by a plotter on flat adhesive vinyl. The non-image part is pulled away (see the picture above) and what is left is the desired graphic. For application the shapes are held in their pre-spaced positions with a masking sheet. For large scale or elaborate graphics it is best for the installation to be handled by a professional. However, for small scale graphics, the casual user can manage do-it-yourself applications quite easily. This includes boat lettering, vehicle marking and basic signage. In
